Every year, 460 million tons of plastic are produced in the world, the equivalent of the total weight of humanity. Plastic is present everywhere: on land, under the sea, in the air. Sometimes to the point of becoming one with living things, especially human beings.
Why has it so quickly become essential in our societies? Can we get out of the “plastic era”? How?
String Theory brought together scientists, content creators and volunteers from the Wings of the Ocean association around a challenge: ECO LANTA. During a waste hunt on the banks of the Étang de Berre, a symbol of our overexposure to pollution, they share with us a story that is in turn surprising, fascinating, worrisome .
An original approach, both fun and educational, scientific and accessible, essential for becoming aware and taking action.
